How to join

Membership of the Gloucestershire Orchard Group(GOG) is open to all interested in the maintenance of Gloucestershire's orchard heritage. Members will receive:

  • Newsletters, packed with information (twice per annum)
  • Advice (including grant information)
  • Access to graft/bud material (apple, perry pear and plum)
  • Subsidized training (including pruning, grafting, budding and fruit identification)
  • Orchard walks and talks
  • Plum Day
  • A list of Apple Day events in the county
  • A chance to network with others

We have a huge range of informal expertise in the group; our committee members have experience with juice, cider & perry making, biodiversity, environmental stewardship (defra employee), running fruit tree nurseries and maintaining Gloucestershire variety collections and a museum orchard. Many of our members are also complete amateurs; we welcome you if you are fortunate enough to own acres of land or own a solitary tree in your small garden!

In addition, members will automatically be affiliated to the National Orchard Forum, an umbrella organization which brings together the many orchard groups throughout the UK, all passionate about conserving traditional, local varieties. National Orchard Forum newsletters, fliers and literature are also packed with information throughout the year.

Annual membership rates for GOG are £10.00 for individuals and £20.00 for corporate groups (with a chance to advertise your business). Please load and print the membership form by clicking on this link, printing the page and and posting the completed form, with a cheque to:
